CleanPhotos is designed to process your photos locally on your device. All photo analysis,
similarity detection, and deletion operations are performed entirely on your device. We do not
upload, store, or transmit your photos or personal data to any servers.
Information We Collect
- Photo Library Access: The app requires access to your photo library to identify similar photos and help you clean up duplicates. All processing is done locally on your device.
- Device diagnostics: Crash logs and performance metrics to improve stability (only if you opt in at the system level).
- Anonymous analytics: Aggregated usage metrics to improve features (only if you opt in).
- Support emails: If you contact us, we receive your email address and the content you send.
How We Use Information
- To operate and improve app performance and reliability.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
- To analyze feature adoption (aggregated, non-identifying where possible).
Data Storage and Security
All photo processing is done locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to any servers. We do not store, transmit, or have access to your photos. Photo deletion operations are performed directly on your device and cannot be undone, so please backup important photos before use.
Photo Access Permission
This app needs access to your photo library to:
- Scan and identify similar photos
- Delete photos you select
- Clear EXIF and location data from photos
You can revoke this permission at any time in system settings.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Core ML: For photo similarity analysis (local processing, no data transmission)
- StoreKit: For in-app purchase functionality
These services do not involve data transmission or access to your photos.
Your Rights
- Access, correction, or deletion of your personal data when applicable.
- Opt-out of analytics by disabling it in system settings or within the app (if available).
- Revoke photo library access at any time through system settings.
Children's Privacy
CleanPhotos is not intended for children under the age required by local law for consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in-app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
