Frequently Asked Questions
How does CleanPhotos identify duplicate photos?
CleanPhotos uses advanced AI technology powered by Core ML to analyze your photos locally on your device. It compares visual features, colors, and composition to identify similar or duplicate photos with high accuracy. All processing happens on your device - your photos never leave your device.
Is my data safe? Will my photos be uploaded?
Yes, your data is completely safe. CleanPhotos processes all photos locally on your device. We never upload, store, or transmit your photos to any servers. Your privacy is our top priority - all photo analysis and deletion operations happen entirely on your device.
Can I recover deleted photos?
Photo deletion operations are permanent and cannot be undone. We strongly recommend backing up important photos before using the app. Once photos are deleted, they cannot be recovered through the app. Please ensure you have backups of important memories.
What does the batch delete feature do?
The batch delete feature allows you to delete multiple duplicate photos at once, saving you time and storage space.
How do I revoke photo library access?
You can revoke photo library access at any time through your device's Settings app. Go to Settings > Privacy > Photos, then find CleanPhotos and change the permission. The app will need this permission again if you want to use it in the future.
Does the app work offline?
Yes! CleanPhotos works completely offline. Since all processing happens locally on your device, you don't need an internet connection to identify or delete duplicate photos. The app only requires internet for in-app purchases.
